American College Cricket is pleased to announce that the first ever American College Cricket Spring Break Championship ’09 will be held on March 19-22, 2009 at the Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill, Florida.
The 2008 ICC Cricketer of the Year Shivnarine Chanderpaul has endorsed the Tournament and donated the Championship Trophy which will be awarded to the winner of the Championship. ” It’s a great honor to have the World’s Number 1 Batsman Shiv Chanderpaul supporting the Championship.
This will be an incalculable boost to American cricket.The College Cricket players are fired up and will compete very hard to be the Team taking home the Chanderpaul Trophy,” said Lloyd Jodah, President of American College Cricket llc.
College Cricket Clubs from across the United States will compete in the Championship. Spring Break will take on a new meaning for the young Cricketers who will travel to beautiful South Florida to take part in this ground breaking event.
The first annual American College Cricket Spring Break Championship,in 2009 will be a 20/20 format. College Cricket fans and Spring Breakers, as well as South Florida Cricket fans, will get the chance to root for their favorite College Teams during this Inaugural Championship.
