Michael Holding talks about West Indies’ Shivnarine Chanderpaul as the batsman gets ready to play in his 150th Test match
“Well Shivnarine Chanderpaul has been playing now for so long that people, I think, don’t even remember when he started. You know, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, as you said, is heading for another milestone, he has made so many runs for the West Indies, he has always been consistently producing, he averages over 50, Raunak. When you can average over 50 in such a long career, playing home and away, fast bowlers, spin bowlers, on all circumstances, in good teams, in pretty mediocre teams, you have got to be a very good player, and I think Shivnarine Chanderpaul certainly will be remembered by all West Indians as someone that has given his all, has produced so many runs over such a long period of time…very valuable batsman.”
