The reliable left-hander was listed at Number 1 in the latest ICC Test Players Rankings released by the game’s governing body on Tuesday. He has 879 ranking points and is closely followed by Australia captain Michael Clarke on 878 points and Hashim Amla of South Africa on 875 points.
